Shipping policy
Eco-printed items take 5-8 working days to be made-to order.
Hand painted & Hand printed items take 1-2 weeks to be created, unless the garment you’re sending in to us is delayed. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.
Delays on behalf of Royal Mail are sometimes out of our control, but your order is tracked and we will sort any unexpected issues if they arise.
Domestic Shipping Rates (UK)
We offer £3.95 flat rate shipping to the UK, via Royal Mail Tracked 48, which is estimated to arrive 1-3 days after your dispatch email.
Free UK shipping on orders over £100.
International Shipping
We offer international shipping within EU at £12, and beyond EU at £19.50 with tracking, a signature is required. This service takes 1-2 weeks. If you don’t sign for the item as you are out, this will go to your local sorting office for collection. If you don’t collect within 6 weeks it will be returned to us.
Larger orders over the value of £150 may incur fees, duties or charges, and you should check your country’s import tax threshold as your order may be subject to import duties and taxes. These are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. We Are Hairy People is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.
USA prices include 10% to cover export duties, to avoid most unexpected charges. However, some regions differ, so we can’t guarantee this, and if you make a large order, they may be subject to more charges.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, we will have your tracking information and can look this up for you if necessary.
If you haven’t received your order within the estimated number days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at sarah@wearehairypeople.co.uk with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you. For most cases it’s probably just a small delay, but whatever is the cause, we will sort this for you. You can also use the chat box on the website.
Returns
We accept returns for printed items up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is unused and in its original condition, and we will refund the full order amount minus the shipping costs of the return.
Painted items cannot be returned as they are custom made, unless they are faulty.
In the event that your order is found to be unsatisfactory on arrival, such as being the wrong item or paint splash, please email us as soon as possible with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. For mistakes on our behalf, these are reviewed on a case by case basis, where we can arrange refunds, exchanges, repaints and reimbursements, depending on the issue. Please be reassured before buying, that this is very rare for us, we don’t usually ship out mistakes.
