Summer in Full Bloom: Behind the Designs of Our 2024 Collection
Our second shoot of the Summer was an absolute dream. The sun shone brilliantly on the golden grasses that day, and it perfectly mirrored the vibe of the collection: playful, abundant, and full of life.
Each design in this collection was created to celebrate the carefree freedom that summer brings, which I did by expressing my truth and lived experience all through the artwork. I love and wear all the work I’ve made this year- and it’s not necessarily been that way for the last ten years! So something clicking in to place.
One of my favourite pieces is the "Biodegradable" Frog Tee”—a playful nod to nature and sustainability through the lens of being neurodivergent and particularly sensitive. As I unmask my autism and adhd, I’m not ashamed to breakdown, it doesn’t hurt anyone and I don’t need to pretend to be okay anymore. With its vibrant print and quirky message, it’s a reminder that we can create fashion that’s fun, mindful and relateable at the same time. I hope you feel free to breakdown without shame too.
Another standout is the "Sublime" Capybara Tee, featuring a capybara lounging in a sea of lemons. It’s a design that perfectly captures that laid-back, blissful summer vibe—a moment to pause and soak up the season's beauty.
But the real star of the collection has been the Hand-painted Red Panda Crossbody Bag. It quickly became a favourite with its bold, artistic design and the charm of the hand-painted details. The red pandas add a touch of whimsy to any outfit, making it the perfect accessory for those who love a bit of personality in their wardrobe.
Looking back, the whole collection felt like a true reflection of summer—vibrant, full of possibilities, and a little wild at heart. It’s a collection that speaks to those who want to embrace the joy and freedom of the season, just as I did while creating it.
